FAQ
1) I am not sure whether physiotherapy treatment is the appropriate treatment solution for my condition. What should I do?
If you are not sure about whether to choose physiotherapy/ chiropractic or massage, then do not worry. You can leave a message through WhatsApp or email with your concern to us. One of our physiotherapists will get back to you and help you to decide the right choice of treatment.
We want to provide the correct information to you. If we are unable to help you then we will recommend you the best way of sorting the situation.
2) Do I need to have any referral from doctor for taking physiotherapy services?
No. we are independent healthcare providers, and we can take patients without any referral from your doctor.
3) What physiotherapy service session do I need to book. I already have a diagnosis from a healthcare provider.
If you are visiting us on the first time, then you must book for physiotherapy assessment and treatment (you can book either regular session or short duration). We do not start physiotherapy treatment without assessment in our clinic even if you have a diagnosis from a different clinic or other medical health professional or doctor except if you are coming for post surgical or presurgical rehabilitation.
– We strictly follow your surgeon’s protocol or guideline if you are coming for post surgical rehabilitation.
4)How can I book an appointment?
you can book an appointment by directly calling us or through our website. Otherwise we can call you back and help you in scheduling your appointment if you leave a whatsapp chat or email.
5) what to expect for your first visit?
You must be in the clinic 15 mins before your appointment time to complete the paperwork.
Bring any previous treatment reports or X-ray/Ultrasound/MRI related to your injury – IF YOU HAVE ANY. If you want us to get your x ray/MRI /Ultrasound report, then you must first visit us to give consent (need to sign the form) and then we need to send a request form for the same. It may take few days (on an average 2-3 working days) for your lab to send the report.
After completing the paperwork, you need to wait in the reception and your physiotherapist will come and take you for your initial consultation and treatment.
6) Do I need to bring shorts to change when I come for my treatment?
Its up to you. Preferably wear loose clothes. you can expect to expose the area to be treated and we provide gowns or shorts to our clients depends on the treatment needs.
7) Do I need to mention all my medical history even if it is not related to my current condition?
Yes. Make sure that you mention to your physiotherapist about any medical conditions, which you already have even if you feel it is not related to your injury. We need to take precautions if you have some specific medical conditions when we do certain treatment. (example active history of cancer, GERD, dizziness, osteoporosis, pacemaker, hepatitis, skin allergies, any metal implants etc.). Your therapist will decide which medical information is relevant to your situation.
8)Do I have to pay any cancellation charges?
You must contact our office 24 hrs prior to your appointment time if there are any changes in your schedule. If no one is answering the call you must leave a message or email using our contact information. Otherwise, we will be charging a cancellation fee of $50.
9) what happens if there is any issue with direct billing; for example, insurance claim is declined?
All the fees are due at the end of our service. We try our best to do the direct billing for you.
If there is any problem with your insurance claims when we do direct billing its client responsibility to contact your insurance company and sort it out. If such situation happens then you need to pay the service fee and you can submit the receipt to your health insurance provider.
10) why am I not having the expected treatment results?
To get the best expected results you must adhered to your individualised treatment plan given by your therapist. If you are not completing the treatment plan, then its less likely you will have the expected results.
11) What happens if I am not getting expected results even after completing the recommended treatment plan?
If you did not get the expected results even after completing your treatment plan, then we will try our best to guide you for the next possible options.
This scenario rarely happens if you follow our treatment recommendations. But there are chances in some cases you may face this situation. If we are not able to help you then we will recommend for the next step instead of wasting your time and money.
It will be too soon to decide after 1 or 2 treatments. We want our patient to feel better as soon as possible but sometimes you need to have patience and listen to your therapist before coming to any early assumptions or conclusions about your treatment progress.
12) How many sessions of treatment do I require?
On an average we require 6-8 sessions to get the best results but, in some cases, it can be less or more. We will be able to tell you about this only after your initial consultation.
In some other instances you may need to get regular treatment for few weeks to months if your injury is chronic/ progressively worsening. (Examples: arthritis, whiplash injuries, post surgical
rehabilitation etc.).
13) how much time it will take for my treatment session?
Please remember our goal is to help you to achieve your health goal. So, the above-mentioned time duration can be changed depends on your injury severity and treatment requirements. Your physiotherapy sessions can be longer or shorter depending on each individualised situation. If you want more specific answers, then your therapist can tell you after your assessment.
14) what to expect after my treatment session?
You may experience some soreness after the session which is completely normal. If you experience more pain, symptoms and soreness do not get panic. Please contact us as soon as possible and our therapist will help you to address the situation.
If you feel any unusual symptoms or if you have any concern, please contact us as soon as possible instead of assuming anything. Google information can be sometimes confusing and may not be reliable. So, its always better to discuss these treatment concerns directly to your therapist.
